Labor Day Weekend

Hello,
Finished my first week of College. So far, so good (except my entire life seems to be taken up by Arabic homework. I have yet to fall behind, but so you can get an idea of just how much work it is, I have just plugged away for 50 solid minutes and am a little less than halfway through with my assignment. Plus I still have a paper to write and several chapters of reading for my other classes!)

On the other hand, I'm having fun down here and just got a new camera so perhaps I can put some pictures up...

Sneakers, part II

Well, after another marathon trek to stores (at least 5 more this afternoon!), I finally came across a pair of shoes in my size. New Balance 574. Oddly enough, this is the same model I had before, but they're in a different color.

The good news? Only $17! The bad news? With all the money we spent on gas trying to find a store that carried them, the real cost is much higher.

Oh well. At least that's done...

Shopping for College

I head down to Georgetown this Friday, but before I leave, I need to get a few items. The past few days have been spent buying things for the dorm and buying clothes so that I can look presentable.

First issue: Why do I need to buy so many pillows if I'm only sleeping on two of them?
Second: Why must I go to go to 3 different stores to find T-shirts in Adult Small?

But the worst inconvenience of all is that I must buy shoes online since stores have stopped carrying shoes in my size altogether. Today alone I went to 5 stores and found not a single pair of decent sneakers that were available in my size. Alas, it seems I will be relegated to the realm of Custom-Designed kicks! There goes that graduation money...
